The app

• Your clipboard stays on your PC. VASCII reads it to make art, and never sends it anywhere.
• Your arts and settings are saved on your PC.
• There is no tracking or usage data. A log file stays on your PC, for finding crashes.
• If you use Find face or the background cut-out, your image is handled on your PC. It isn't uploaded.

The online library

You only need an account to post, vote or report. You sign in with Discord. Discord tells us your user ID and display name. We don't get your email, your servers or your friends.

We store:

• Your Discord user ID and display name.
• The arts you post, your votes and your reports, with their dates.
• A scrambled copy of your sign-in key, so you stay signed in.

Other players can see your display name, the arts you post and their scores. Votes and reports aren't shown to other players.

You can delete your own arts in the app. Deleted arts stop showing right away, and we keep the record so people can't get around the posting limit.

This site has no ads, no analytics and no cookies of its own.

Who handles the data

Cloudflare runs this website and the library's database. Like any web host, it handles IP addresses to deliver pages and limit abuse. We use IP addresses only for those limits, and we don't save them. Discord handles sign-in.

Questions, or deleting your account

Email support@vascii.app. To delete your account, tell us your Discord display name. We'll check it's really you, then delete your account and your arts, votes and reports.
